Relational Night

Hello Community,

We'll gather this evening at Asher’s Office from 6:30 to 8:30 for meditation and conversation. This week we're on our relational format--an opportunity to check in with each other about our spiritual lives on and off the cushion. Last week, I asked people to sit with some variation of the question, "What would bring me into the presence of Love?" "What calls forth Love?" "What would bring me back to Love?" "What places me at the feet of Love?" etc. Some of the key words that emerged in the collective reflection that followed: spaciousness/openness/vastness, flowing, directional, nature/home, receptivity, elemental, beauty, reverence, ancestry/motherhood, authenticity, vulnerability/invulnerability, surrender, safety, nourishment, lightness, awe/wonder, tenderness, and a synthesis of connection + fundamentality + home + expansiveness.

I'd like to suggest that we continue our exploration of Metta/Love even as we move to our relational format. We'll see what shape it takes. This is an invitation to keep the contemplation close until we meet at 6:30.
