Samadhi Grove
Where clay meets many hearts.
The Samadhi Grove began as a simple intention. A small earthen meditation hut tucked into the land behind Asher and Amanda’s home. A place where silence could deepen. A place where someone might step away from the noise of daily life and sit alone in retreat, held by forest and community alike.
What followed has been years in the making.
This has never been a contractor’s project. It has been a village effort. Many hands have shaped its walls with clay mixed and pressed by feet. Blessings chanted into the structure as it took shape. A mural imagined collectively and inlaid with care. We have stopped often to eat together, to sit beneath the trees and marvel at what can be accomplished when people build not for profit, but for love.
The Samadhi Grove is funded by community generosity and built through community labor. It stands as a testament to what intention can become when sustained over time. It carries the fingerprints of everyone who has shown up. It holds stories in its walls.
When completed, it will be offered back to the community. A simple refuge for solo meditation retreats. A place to be in communion with the land and silence, supported by the very hands that shaped it.
To build something by hand is to be changed by it. The Samadhi Grove has already been a teacher. It has taught patience. Collaboration. Humility. It has reminded us that sacred spaces are not found. They are made together, slowly, by a village willing to stay.
And we are still building.
“Without courage, we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We can’t be kind, true, merciful, generous or honest.”
